As part of his commitment to grassroots development and economic empowerment, the Member representing Etsako Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Anamero Dekeri, has empowered 500 market women across the constituency.

The initiative formed part of his constituency engagements from October 23 to 26, 2026, recognising the contributions of market women who work tirelessly to support their families, sustain their businesses and strengthen local communities.

One of the memorable moments was the warm reception at Ekperi Market, where beneficiaries, dressed in branded aprons and caps and displaying their empowerment bags, expressed their appreciation and offered prayers for the lawmaker.

Reflecting on the occasion, Hon. Anamero said the love and prayers of the women meant a great deal to him.

“Our market women work hard every day to support their families, sustain their businesses and contribute to the growth of our communities. They deserve our attention, support and encouragement,” he said.

He reaffirmed that public service must remain focused on improving lives, listening to the needs of the people and ensuring that no community is left out of development efforts.

The empowerment programme adds to Hon. Anamero’s reported initiatives in education, infrastructure, agriculture and vocational skills development across Etsako East, Etsako Central and Etsako West.

He thanked the women of Ekperi Market for their warm reception, prayers and continued support, reiterating his commitment to the progress and well-being of his constituents.
